About Us
Zakara Cider was founded in Gori, in Georgia’s Shida Kartli region—an area celebrated for its exceptional fruit, especially apples. The brand was created by Giorgi Jamelashvili, a Gori-born financier with deep family roots in apple cultivation and a personal passion for fermentation, and Rezi Tsetskhladze, a winemaker and entrepreneur. Together, they set out to revive Georgian cider culture through natural fermentation and locally grown fruit. Produced in small batches, Zakara offers pure, expressive ciders that honor the land, tradition, and the craft of fermentation.
